A delegation of Chesapeake College students attended the annual MCCADA Student Leadership Conference on October 13 at Howard Community College.
Social entrepreneur Ebony Underwood, advocate and ASPEN Institute Ascend Fellow, delivered the keynote address for the conference. She is the founder and CEO of We Got Us Now, an organization that advocates for the children of incarcerated parents.
The Chesapeake student participants were Ian Abrego, Kim Bartolon, Elijah Brooks, Josiah Comfort, Anastasia Miller, Leondrea Nichols, Jason Pagan, Cianni Phillips, Ana Ramirez-Ceballos, Isaiah Robinson, and Mikaela Seitzer.
